Everything you need to know about our Summer Nights Cinema
We’ve been blown away by the amount of interest in our Summer Night Cinema. If you’re planning on coming along to one of our screenings, make sure you’ve done your homework with our handy list of FAQs:
What dates and times is the cinema on?
Screenings take place from 6pm – 8pm every Thursday, starting on Thursday 25 July. The final screening will take place on Thursday 29 August.
What films are you showing?
Thursday 1 August – The Greatest Showman
Thursday 8 August – Wreck it Ralph: Ralph Wrecks The Internet
Thursday 15 August – Mary Poppins Returns
Thursday 22 August – Coco

Where will the films be shown?
We will have a Summer Nights cinema screen set up near to the Lakeside Lawn, near our M&S Outlet store. The double sided screen will be located on a diagonal giving viewing from both the lawn and outside The Body Shop.
Is it a drive-in cinema?
No. The screenings take place on the lawn within the centre and spectators will be seated.
How much is it?
It’s completely free! However, we’re expecting it to be busy, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Do I need to book tickets?
No. This is a free event and tickets are not required for entry. However, we do have a limited capacity for health and safety reasons and entrance will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
How many people can the event hold?
The maximum capacity is 1,000. There is limited seating which is available on a first come first served basis.
What if it rains?
This is an outdoor event and will go ahead whatever the weather, no shelter will be provided – bring waterproofs or brollies if needed.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, as a family-friendly centre all films are deemed suitable for children. A full list of screenings can be found above.
However, please remember that children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
What about pets?
Apologies, please do not bring furry friends along to this event.
Do I need to bring my own chair?
We will be providing seating on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we are expecting screenings to be busy and therefore would recommend bringing your own portable seating, such as deck chairs, as well as a blanket or two for when the sun disappears!
Where can I park?
We’re proud to have a large, onsite car park that’s free of charge for our customers.
Will the shops still be open?
Yes, our stores remain open until 8pm on Thursdays, meaning you can combine your cinema trip with a spot of shopping!
Can I bring a picnic?
You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks but alcohol is strictly prohibited. Please remember to carefully dispose of your own litter.
Refreshments will also be available from Greggs, Costa, Cadbury Outlet & Thorntons.
Can I bring a bottle of wine or a few beers to enjoy with the film or smoke?
No. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on site and will be confiscated immediately.
Please note that there is also a no smoking or vaping policy in operation during the performances.
Don’t forget, the centre is open for late night shopping on Thursdays ’til 8pm with great offers throughout the centre.
