Reconnect with friends and family this bank holiday

Wednesday 28th April 2021

Most people when asked what they’ve missed the most over the past 12 months will say friends and family. We have too! We know that staying away from loved ones has been hard and that connecting over the phone or virtually has not been the same. Now that the centre is fully reopened and the government has relaxed the lockdown restrictions this Bank Holiday is a great time to reconnect with family and friends in a safe, socially distanced but face to face way.

Our coffee shops and food outlets are open meaning that you can once again sit and enjoy a relaxing drink and a bite to eat, outdoors, with those near and dear to you. The centre is open Bank Holiday Monday from 10am until 4.30pm with some great offers available.

Now is a great time to catch up, we’ve all missed that time together talking, laughing and even crying at what is going on in our lives and sharing stories with those we love. It’s never quite the same on the phone or over the computer as it is face to face.
We know that we’ve still got to keep our distance and but to be able to see someone’s face and the twinkle in their eyes as they tell you the mischief their toddler, partner or beloved pet has been up to, will be gold dust for the soul.

Reconnecting with family and friends will be extremely safe while enjoying food and drink from our cafes in our outdoor spaces.
A spot of shopping can be a great way to relax and even better if you can bag a bargain. This Bank Holiday weekend there will be 40% off everything in store at GAP, M&S have up to 70% off some items and Next have great offers on their furniture – you’ll have to be quick though – its getting snapped up as quick as it comes in!

All the extra measures that we put in place after the first lockdown will remain, so social distancing, hand sanitising, extra cleaning and restricted numbers will help to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable meeting up with family and friends at Lakeside Village.

We’ve missed seeing the friends who meet up, grab a coffee and sit having a chat on the benches, the families who get together every week for lunch and the grandparents who bring their grandchildren for a play on the outdoor play area while enjoying a good cup of tea.

As a pet friendly centre we’ve also missed all the lovely dogs whose owners bring them for a walk and grab a drink while they are here.

In short, we’ve missed you all, so come and visit us and reconnect with family and friends at Lakeside Village.
