Shoppers’ old clothes bring in cash for charity!

Almost 1000 bags of unwanted clothes, toys and books have been donated to our Bag It Up for Bluebell Wood appeal in 2015. A grand total of 971 bags of clothing were dropped off in 2015 and it is estimated that the donations are set to make an amazing £14,565 for the charity. We plan on beating that number through 2016 and you can be a part of it! All you have to do is put your unwanted clothes, shoes and toys in a bag and drop them off here at Lakeside Village on one of the dates listed here. The Bluebell Wood collection van will be located near our M&S Outlet 10am- 3pm. After Christmas is the perfect time to go through your wardrobe and get rid of your old clothes and start a fresh! Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at the hospice in North Anston. James Bower, Retail Manager at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “It is great that Lakeside Village chose to support us again in 2015. We are here to support our children with life-limiting conditions and complex health needs; all while ensuring that Bluebell Wood is full of love and laughter and that our staff help to create treasured memories for families. It costs more than £3m a year to keep our doors open, so we are extremely grateful for this support from the community and from Lakeside Village.”
